TRCK System Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:
(80%) Design and develop the in-house built the TRCK tracking management system. Will first analyze the business problem, then solve legacy system issues, then build a new in-house warehouse management software platform in near future.
(10%) Discuss business process and requirements with warehouse business analyst and in-house users, then develop system design.
(10%) Develop initiatives to improve team working efficiency. May include but not limit to process flow and system architecture improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications:
1. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Ruby/Python programming in web application development or API integration. Experience in any framework is a plus.
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle database design and development. Be familiar with SQL.
3. Solid knowledge in web application and RESTful API integration development and design.
4. Minimum 1 years’ experience in application deployment and application server setup.
5. Knowledge in application architecture and system infrastructure design.
6. Experience in Linux.
7. Willingness to learn logistics and warehouse management.
8. Demonstrate problem solving skills.
9. Experience in logistics or warehouse management is a great plus.
10. Excellent oral and written communication skills in Mandarin
11. Business fluency in English is a great plus.
12. Experience in CI/CD, DevOps is a plus
13. Experience in AWS is a great plus.
