As a user research intern, you will get involved in user research process and management by directly working on regular user interviews or research projects. During your internship, you will operate the end-to-end process for weekly user feedback sessions to to help the team speak to users regularly. You will get involved in planning and conducting user research by co-working with product managers and designers. You will translate user insights into actionable suggestions that impact the development of PicCollage and other new products. Your contribution will impact not only PicCollage active 15 million users but also new users around the world as we build new products or services.

Responsibilities:

• Assist participant recruitment for different research projects as a seamless experience for users, including creating recruiting plan, posting ads, screening candidates, scheduling sessions and coordinating incentive payments.
• Run weekly basis user interview process by providing logistical support in setting up sessions, coordinating with projects and video documenting.
• Organize, analyze and deliver user insights to product development process.
• Take on research operations projects to build up the research fundamentals with other members, and scale user research effort in the team.
• Participate in internal product testing sessions to establish product knowledge and help sprint teams to provide great quality updates to users.
• Help the search to hire the next intern at the end of internship.

• Proficient in English and Mandarin.
• Enjoy meeting and talking to people. Always curious and eager to understand human behavior.
• Committed, observant and proactive to take initiatives or solve problems.
• Excellent organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in user research especially user interview and usability testing.
• Ability to interpret large amounts of user input, multi-task, and come up with results independently and collaboratively with other team members.
• Fast learner who can adopt research tools and cross-functional collaboration processes.

Plus: 

• Experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
• Experience and knowledge of statistics and experimental design.
• Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, for example, when and how to apply them based on the project needs in the product development process.

1. Screen calls (1-2 calls)
2. Take-home quiz & review
3. Onsite interview (3-4 hours visiting)
